Roy Blunt, Republican majority whip gave a talk to the Heritage Foundation today, discussing Republican losses. Within 10 minutes it was "us" vs. "them". The talk is predicated on the belief that if you are a Democrat (liberal) then you are against family values. Somehow Democrats are the enemy. This is the elitist mentality that centers around the Republican thought process and encourages the hate-speech that comes from the far right. There is no "live and let live" or "love one another" in the Republican leadership.

Democrats are more accepting of the differences among us. That doesn't make them soft on family values. I can't even fathom how a person can be a "gay" republican as the entire party agenda is designed to exclude, marginalize and restrict your rights in this country. The minorities and the poor seem to also fall into that category as well. Republicans talk alot about returning this country to the people but their definition of who those "people" are, is not very inclusive.

The bipartisan talk lasted 1 day. Let the games begin.
